MG OZ-13MS Epyon Gundam EW

My 2nd MG kit Epyon Gundam. As Wing Zero's counter-part it sure looks mighty and bad-ass, without a single gun it shines with it's mighty brute melee weapons.

Views - without wings

No matter how you look, it's so mighty !

Shoulder-chest joints - a 2-phase enables Epyon to make more poses.

Problem?

Weapons :

Heat Rod - one of the weapon on Epyon that I like, it is really detailed in this MG kit, and its big. Cons is, it's too big that it a bit heavy for it's small arm to handle.

Beam Blade - it's cable-connected to one side of its skirt. The idea and looks is cool, but in reality it's a little trouble to pose because the cable is always on the way while posing. Lucky the cable core is actually metal, so you can shape it first before connecting, saves the trouble.

Oh bad ass..

This is basically Epyon's weapons

Take Flight :

No the display stand is not included, I bought the Char's special stand for Epyon. Epyon itself could stand if not doing any extreme pose, but the wing is really heavy, if you want to do some bad ass open-wing style better but a display stand. The connector from stand-Epyon is special (included), maybe it's to hold up this heavy thing, well... it doesn't really do a good job there... it's still shaky.

Instead of the dull and plain usual wing, Epyon EW has a good detailed, evil looking wings. +1 for that.

Notice the ratio of the wing-backpack-body? Actually the wing itself is very heavy, so heavy that the backpack can't actually hold them up straight. Also the joints of the wing flaps easily wear off, so if you play a lot with the wings, it will eventually loosen. Oh one more thing, don't always detach the back pack from the main body, if that loosen up too you are screwed.

Full melee mode - no cowardly guns, it's for little girls.

Mobile Armor - Dragon mode

Twin head dragon Epyon?

View :

Be cautious when changing Epyon from MS-MA vice versa, it's back skirt which involves in the transform needs to be folded sideways, somehow blocking its leg's way. If not careful one might snap the skirt off... so watch out !

Yes the two heads is obviously Epyon's feet. Epyon's lower leg is actually made up from 3 sections, upper and middle section is "pulled" to release lock during MA mode to let the dragon heads could move 360 degrees round'.

Lower view - the Gundam head is not hidden.

Epyon is much heavier compared to Wing Zero, and expected from transformable kit, it feels very fragile. Try not to play too much with the transform, the joints wears down very fast, most of the vital joints aren't PC-parts, example the wing joints, it's actually the same material with the main body. It can hold well when it's new, but it will eventually loosen up.
Still it's MA/MS modes looks nice, the structure makes people feel that it's special. So if you are looking for something other than standard white colour Gundam, why not try Epyon?
